comb verses color

In culling our youngsters this year we are having to make a choice between good comb or good color.  Some of the pea combs have a touch of a leader that is bending back toward the front of the head,  but the birds with a good comb tend to be showing brassiness on the lavendar hackles.  Thoughts on which is more important to keep or cull?

Males, females, or both?

Only the males are doing this.  The females all have nice color- no brassiness at all and all have small correct pea combs.

Perhaps the females can override the color or comb issue and just cull hard?  I do have 2 males with correct comb and color, but had wanted to keep a few more.

Those brassy males may be carrying sex linked gold (s) instead of sex linked silver (S).   If you have two with correct color I would go with them for now.   It sounds like this is becoming a popular color variety, so there should be other sources for the better ones in the future.
