breeding males that are out of your best colored females.

A thought that I had was to use males not only with solid black breasts, but also look for ones with solid black tail feathers.  Many wheaten males will have a lot of red in their tail feathers and that may contribute to a lack of black in the female\'s tail feathers.

Thanks guys!  Can\'t tell ya how much I appreciate y\'alls help.  I sure love my Ameraucanas but they are giving me fits!  Y\'alls help encourages me & I start thinking there is hope yet for me to have some good looking birds.
