For those of you who may be interested, there is an article in the current American Bantam Association Quarterly on the issue of Self Blue and Lavender.   If you receive the newletter electronically like I do, you will need to scroll down to pages 33 and 34.

Resurrecting the Controversy

Not to disagree too much, but it didn\'t die and we need to keep it alive and well.
It is a well written article.  It does not belittle the anti-lavender group, which I believe is important.  We don\'t want to sink to name calling no matter how #!@&$% they are.   ;)

Jean\'s ABC Bulletin article is also on page 25 of the current Poultry Press and it helps to keep the \"controversy\" in the limelight.

The more we can get the truth and facts out to the fanciers about lavender the better.  The grass roots movement will prevail.

I\'m not a betting man, but I\'ll bet any of you that there will be more lavenders shown at Indy than self blue birds.  Let\'s encourage our Orpington, Faverolles, etc. compadres to enter lots of lavenders.
