2012 National Agricultural Classification Survey

(1/8) > >>

John:
I received a \"U.S. Census of Agriculture Report\" in the mail today that says \"YOUR RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW\".  They will be happy that I am responding, since they did provide a stamped envelope, but they won\'t be happy with my little note saying \"No Thanks - I pay taxes on my income & the rest is my business\".
There is a US Census every 10 years that is required and I sent that in with only the truly required information.
In this ag census they want to know my sex, age and all kinds of personal financial information that is none of their business!  The say \"the information you provide is confidential and will not be provided to any individual or organization\".  I saved them the trouble by not providing the confidential information to them, so they don\'t have to keep any secrets.

Mike Gilbert:
I usually respond with estimates, but I agree with you in principle.  Big Brother is totally out of control.   I have not received my survey form yet, but it will probably be in the mailbox soon.

Beth C:
I haven\'t gotten one - what puts you on their radar?

Mike Gilbert:
I have a farm operation and also rent some farm land.

Scott:
I received the same letter.  I am curious as to what transpires when:

\" If you do not reply, you may personally visited or you may receive a phone call.\"

Sounds threatening that I may be \"personally visited...\"    Should I have cookies ready?
