Bubbles coming out of a hatching egg

I have one particular hen that sometimes lays a larger egg and a lot of her chicks aren't making it out of the shell. They are fully developed, but a lot aren't pipping. Then, after the hatch when I break open the eggs, I find the inside of the eggs are very wet and runny. And yes, this was one of her eggs. I know the humidity isn't too high, so it must be the egg size factor. Wow! I'm learning something new all the time. I'll have to watch for this and only set eggs from her that are not so big. All of the chicks that DO make it out are really nice and so friendly. Her chicks are my favorite. Thanks again for helping me figure this out.

Same here. I have been trying for four years to get more chicks from mine. She is a large hen and I would love to have a large hen from her, but so far I only get cockerals from her if I am so lucky to get one to hatch.
So, does anyone think trying a dry incubator run on these eggs would work? I might give that a try next year with my large eggs.
Sharon Yorks:
I plan to try that this fall with one batch of her eggs. I'm thinking no humidity during the first 18 days, then just add a little water during the last 3 days. Don't know if that will work, but I'm a gonna try it.
