Unoffical Results of the 2013 National Meet and Western District Meets

Jean:
The 2013 National held in Great Falls Montana sported 108 ameraucanas.  There were 64 bantams and 44 large fowl shown.  I believe a combined total of 10 people exhibited birds.  We also had a District Meet held in the second show.  The National was judged by Sam Brush.

Champion Ameraucana was the Black LF hen and Reserve Champion Ameraucana was the White bantam pullet both shown by Jerry De Smidt.

The Lifetime achievement award was presented to Jerry De Smidt for his service and dedication to the Club and the Ameraucana breed.

In the Junior Show results, BB BV LF Black (K) was Walter Malcolm and RB RV LF Black (K) was David Vetter out of five shown.  Thirteen Bantams were shown and BB BV Silver (P) was David Vetter, RB RV Silver (P) was Walter Malcolm.  BV Lavender (K) was Walter Malcom and BV Buff (P) was David Vetter.  Champion was the Silver pullet shown by David Vetter and Reserve the Silver shown by Walter Malcolm.

Bear River Farm:
Thanks for posting the results.  We had such a great time at our first Ameraucana show.  It was fun to meet everyone.  We took home some great new birds and we were very proud of how well Walter's birds did in MT.

Jean, please update our last name when you get a chance to Malcolm.  Thanks again and hope to see you all at another breed show.  -the Malcolm Family

We returned home Sun. evening about 4 pm. Had a very uneventful trip(thats a good thing).  Had a great time in great Falls.Was nice to see all the Ameraucana breeders that were able to make it.  The Montana people are really great hosts.  Had a great show and Jerry still cant believe the Lifetime Achievement award.
Hope everyone else made it home safe.

Here are some photos of some of the winning bantams.  I took pictures of all the winners, but many of the photos are just not good enough to post...birds didn't pose, blurry, grainy, etc.
