2015 Ameraucana National Meet Decided

(1/4) > >>

Paul:
We have had several e-mails along with the forum poll to help me decide which show to choose for our 2015 national Ameraucana meet.  Many ABC members have proclaimed either show Sedalia, MO. or Fayetteville, ARK.-that they would participate.  A couple have said neither because they are both double judged one day shows.  A few have said both are too far to travel for us to attend.  A few have said one would work out for them but the other one would not work.  I dislike being caught in a no win situation!

Since we have been to Sedalia, MO. twice I have decided to give Jacob Bates an opportunity to host our 2015 national meet at Fayetteville, ARK. at the HOTOPA show on November 7, 2015.  Check out their web site www.hotopa.com .  This is a very well run show in an adequate facility.  They hosted our 2012 district/Ark state Ameraucana meet.  We are planning on showing there Nov. 1, 2014 for our Ark state/special Ameraucana meet.  We will work on the behind the scenes work for our 2015 national while there.  We hope many ABC members will attend!

Great news!

I've always been wanting to attend at least one National and now I should be able to do it!

Even though it's a one day show, plan on making a weekend of it!  Fayetteville and the surrounding area is a great place to visit.  Plenty of hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, shopping, tourist attractions, etc.   Eureka Springs is not far from Fayetteville, and is quite the tourist attraction.  A bit farther south in the state is Hot Springs, another tourist hot spot.  A bit closer to Fayetteville is Devils Den state park if you are into camping and hiking trails.  Take a ride down scenic hwy 23 (aka the Pig Trail), if you want to see some beautiful scenery.  If you are traveling from the NE, Branson, Mo, is along the way.  Lot's of things to do in Branson.

November 7th may be a little late to catch the fall colors though, but who knows with this wacky weather?

Gosh, I hope I can get the ladies to lay this winter!

Russ:
