Masters Cup Poultry Show
Russ:
Man that sounds like the grand daddy of the poultry shows :o
Mike Gilbert:
It definitely is a new concept. $25 per bird entry fees, large cash prizes, ongoing commentary by the judge during the judging, an entertainer emcee, educational seminars, hatchery tour, dress up, white table cloth dinner, etc. It definitely will not be the largest show of the year in terms of entries, but it promises to be the classiest. I'm hoping they can come out on it financially so as to be able to make it an annual event.

Yep! I hear you John. Some of my best memories as a young boy were ordering chicks from McMurray. I believe it was 1981 when I mailed in my first order. The anticipation of the post office calling was torture! It would be pretty cool to see their operation... Alright, I'm leaning heavily towards going now. ;D

Sounds like a lot of fun! I hope it does become an annual event - is this the first time they've done it? I'd love to take Fuzz for the youth workshop but even if I had the money this year we missed the deadline.
Mike Gilbert:
Actually, you have until October 27th to have your entry postmarked by. I have not sent mine in yet. Yes, this is something new this year.
