Ameraucana Large Fowl Day Old Chicks

(1/2) > >>

Paul:
Paul & Angela Smith are now accepting and receiving orders for their day old LF, potential show quality Ameraucana chicks.  We are trying something new this year!  We are hatching now, and plan hatches on Mondays when we have saved at least 12 dozen hatching eggs.  Starting Feb. 1, 2016 the hatches will be on a two week schedule until our last hatch June 6, 2016.  We have tried fall hatches in the past with poor hatch rates due to the prolonged heat wave, which occurs in our area.  This year we had a very short version of the heat wave and I have noticed many of the breeders cocks being active, so we decided to see how many quality Ameraucana chicks we could produce in an extended hatching season.  The lights are on, and egg production increases daily in most varieties.

Our first fall hatch is due to hatch Oct. 19, 2015.  The lavender/self blue are heavily booked from this hatch.  The wheaten, blue wheaten, splash wheaten are heavily booked for all the anticipated fall hatches and possibly into the spring hatching season.  They have delayed their start to lay.  Most are presently in molt.  We should have plenty black and blue with a few splash (some may be recessive white) from our Oct. 19, hatch, to be able  to send out several boxes of chicks, with 39 black, 46 blue and 10 splash eggs in it.
e-mail psmith@ntin.net for details and price list.

Paul:
We can still supply black, blue and splash (some may be recessive white) chicks from our Oct. 19 hatch!

Our next following hatch will be either November 9 or 16, 2015-depends on when we have at least 12 dozen hatching eggs to set.

If interested in these or chicks hatched later contact Paul Smith psmith@ntin.net or 940-768-8405.

Paul:
We should be able to supply some more black and/or blue from our next fall hatch due to hatch on Dec. 28, 2015.  The other varieties are fully booked for this hatch.  The wheaten/blue wheaten/splash wheaten are nearing fully booked for all the 2016 spring hatches.

Paul:
We should be able to supply some black Ameraucana large fowl chicks from our Feb. 1 hatch.  All the other varieties that we raise are heavily booked for this hatch.  The wheaten, blue wheaten and splash wheaten are now booked up on all of our 2016 hatches.  We can still supply black, blue, splash, white and self blue from some of our remaining hatches.

John Jordan:
Paul,
Just to let you know the Lavender / self blues that I bought from you last year are doing well and laying up a storm. Everything about them looks spot on from what I can glean from the information I have.
I also bought some B/B/S from another breeder that I am not at all happy with. The birds them self look good but the eggs have a slight blue/greenish tint. Can I assume from the color of their eggs that they are not full B/B/S Ameraucanas?
