Mottled Ameraucana???

Is Mottled a project color? or is it accepted? Can someone please tell me the goal for this color. I probably won't peruse this color, but it is rather fascinating and I'd love to learn about it. Thanks.

It is a project color and I know I've seen pictures of them...now I just have to remember where. :)

Maybe one of the mottled breeders will jump in here.

Also, check the breeders list on the website - I think someone there has mottled listed, if I'm not mistaken.

Lavender, Mottled Ameraucana project birds were a common topic of discussion on the Forum about 5 years ago or longer. Try using the search feature on the ABC Forum to pull up past posts on this subject. I know Joe Woodiel of Fair Grove, Mo was quite active years ago in working with Mottled Ameraucanas. Fair Grove is just a few miles north of Springfield, MO. I hope this helps.
