That\'s just crazy!  I\'ve had white chicks of other breeds and they were never chocolatey.  I assume those cute chocolate legs will turn slate.  I rather liked those choclate legs (sigh).

Another question.  In this same clutch I have VERY dark legs.  How do you know if slate has gone too dark and is really black?

Maybe it is a smoky.  Thier legs tend to be very dark.

Wait 8 to 10 weeks and judge their leg color then.   It can change.   It will never be white, but could be willow, dark slate, or black.
