Susan Mouw:
I'll upload the full meet report later, but I just wanted to share some results from yesterday's show. :)
This was a double show, with Rip Stalvey and Chris Hawes judging. There were, I believe 15 LF Ameraucanas entered, but we did have a couple of no-shows. We had one Junior Exhibitor with a LF Ameraucana. There were no bantam Ameraucanas entered in either open or junior.
Jonathan Stone brought up some lovely whites, one silver hen, and a couple of self-blue hens from Florida. I had three black cockerels - one making his show debut - and a black hen. I had entered another black pullet, but pulled her at the last minute. Stan Alder showed a beautiful white cockerel that I had seen at Jefferson, GA in January and really liked.
In the first show, judged by Rip Stalvey, my black cockerel (making his show debut) took BB and CH AOSB, with Stan's white cockerel going RB and Res CH AOSB. My black cockerel went on to win CH LF and Show Grand Champion.
In the second show, judged by Chris Hawes, the same birds took the same awards - my black cockerel won CH AOSB and Stan's white took Res CH AOSB. The CH Med, a white leghorn and the CH Amer., a beautiful RIR, took the prize as CH and Res CH LF.
