40th Anniversary Celebration
History of the Ameraucana Breeders Club

With all eight current accepted varieties in both the APA and ABA Standards of Perfection, things began to settle down in the second half of the 80s.

In 1986, Rusty Hart won the logo contest with the logo we still use today (with the name change). (Ameraucana Breeders Club Bulletin 1986 vol 8 1.pdf) Later in that year, a vote was held and the Ameraucana Bantam Club became the Ameraucana Breeders Club. (Ameraucana Breeders Club Bulletin 1986 vol 8 2.pdf)

By 1990, the Club had just over 100 members and had spread all across the US, including Hawaii.

Stay tuned for more of the history of the ABC and join us for our celebration of 40 years at the 2018 National ABC Meet at the Dayton Fancy Feathers Poultry Show, Oct 5-6, 2018, Greenville, OH
