Sharing a link for these pet carriers because I love to use them for shows and they are fairly cost effective. They come in a set of 12 and are perfect for large fowl pullets or hens. I actually prefer them over the wooden show boxes I have for hens because they are lighter weight, less bulky, and I can put a label on each box with info pertaining to the pullet/hen that it contains. If you worry about picking up germs at shows, the carriers can be burned afterwards. I still prefer the larger wooden show boxes for cockerels.  :)

Good bantam boxes are easy to find, though you can't find beer boxes like some of the old folks liked so much.
These bantam sized boxes are upcycled from the fast food store when you purchase family sized portions. They also encourage the bantams to show better or else. The one in this auction is little pricey, but the ones with the food freshly removed work just as well Lindsay.

Show carriers were offered in the auction for the club.  These wooden boxes are made by James Treadway in TN and they are available in 3-4 hole options for bantams. These typically sell for around $40-50 per box. And he can deliver to shows he attends or shipped directly to your home. Mention the ABC, James has been very generous to the club for several events. LF boxes are usually custom items to work out sizes and prices. 

Vinson Workman also makes these boxes or similar ones and he is located in KY.  There are other folks offering boxes in other parts of the country as well.

Someone had some listed for sale a while back. A 4 stall box that holds four pullets or hens was 8 inches wide, 16 inches tall and 16 inches deep per stall, and a 3 stall box was 10 inches wide, 16 inches tall and 16 inches deep per stall.

Hopefully someone will comment regarding their experience with using pullet/hen show boxes that have similar dimensions as listed above. I have not personally used show boxes for hens with the dimensions listed above so I can’t comment regarding how well they work for large fowl Ameraucanas.

The dimensions for a 2 stall large box for cockerels was listed as 24 inches wide, 24 inches tall and 24 inches deep (there was a divider in the middle and each individual stall was 12 inches wide). I have two of the 2 stall large boxes with those dimensions and they have worked very well for cockerels and cocks.

Vinson Workman is on Facebook. He makes show boxes and ships them if you do not want to build anything. You will want the surface to be smooth so that it does not damage the feathers.
