Washing eggs prior to setting them

(1/1)

Lindsay Helton:
Someone asked about washing eggs prior to setting them.

If you don’t have an egg wash routine and are looking for one, I use an oxine mixture.

You can mix 6.5 ounces of Oxine per gallon of water and spray your eggs with it the night before setting them.

The solution can also be used to clean incubators between hatches!
