new live mailing boxes

The biosecure live mailing boxes indicate that only one animal be contained. Is this a hard fact or can 2 or more young birds contained, as long as they do not exceed the 8 pound limit?

I was under the impression there was only a weight limit.

I just shipped 3 week old chicks to Texas from New York, and no one said anything.

I also shipped a rooster & it weighed 10 lbs and they didn\'t say anything either.

All made it fine.

That\'s good to know.  I just checked one of my boxes and it doesn\'t mention the weight limit on it.....
