Hi all. Hope everyone is doing good. Anyway, hatched out 50 chicks out of 55 eggs. Chicks are blue and black. Now the question..some of the blacks have some white on their chest. They are just starting to feather out good and it seems to be disappearing. Is this a normal thing? I was searching for this topic, but looked till I was crosseyed and couldn\'t find it. Thanks for any help. luv these birds!!

It is normal for chicks that are extended black or birchen to be black with white on the ventral side, breast, neck and chin. They will have black plumage as adults.
