Replacement Rooster\'s egg color

It\'s always a relief when a repacement rooster has good egg color! (for those who dont know my crisis: I lost most of my mottled project to a racoon last fall and was lucky to be able to retrieve a cull replacement rooster from someone).
Springfields first pullets started laying last week and thier egg color is an improvement from the hens. I hope to have enough stock by this fall to start someone if interested.
