Title: Blue from Lavender
Post by: Hannah Brush on May 30, 2015, 03:03:24 PM
I was wondering if you could get a blue out of a pair of lavender?  ???  I hatched lavender back in December and  I some how ended up with a blue pullet.  I was wondering if this could randomly happen or only if blue were bred in to the parents sone were along the line of the past.
I will attach some pictures of her

Hannah, it is not possible to get a blue from lavender to lavender mating.  The offspring must be lavender.

Do you have pictures of the parent stock?  Did you buy the parent stock as mature birds and one could have been bred to a different sire than the one you currently had and collected eggs too soon?
