Here is a link to a picture of either a Lavender Wheaten or a Lavender BBR type rooster.

May be a gold duckwing, wheatens may be a little lighter. The Lavender Wheaten hen should be a soft color? They say a pinkish color.

You may want to go to the Australian site Backyard Poultry. They discussed the breeding of Lavender Wheatens. I believe they call them Champagne. One person said they look like a pink color. You could also breed a Lavender to a Buff and when you breed the F1 offsprings together you\'ll get what they call a lemon(quote from the site). Good luck in the New Year with your breeding. HS

Thanks for the pictures those two roosters are real nice

Would have been interested but they were a blue LF and a splash LF and would not work in my breeding program. I hope someone near you in North Carolina could use them. Thanks again, HarryS

Did you try the Australian Crested Breed Club, they have the standard for Australian bred Araucanas. They have a picture of a beautiful Lavender rumpless rooster on it. HS

Have you ever thought of treating them with ivermetin. Sounds like the same symptoms as airsac mites in cage birds.

ABC is probably working on a color chart for eggs. I have seen some post on other sites looking for a chart. The UK club has a chart right now. I bought one off of Ebay UK for Araucanas(UK Type). Thought it may help until ABC has an official chart.

Larry is near Harrisburg and the Pennsylvania Farm Show starts on 1/06/2007 to 1/13/2007 near Harrisburg, Pa. He has some real nice whites and blacks and blues and some other colors.
