Don, I did the same type of report for the LF self-blues when we started that project and submitted those findings to Walt.  Unfortunately, the numbers were not sufficient in self-blue LF to avoid the pre-qualifying meets and they are even less in the bantams.

When this project kicks off officially, I'm afraid we will have to go through the 2 years of pre-qualifying meets for the APA, at least.  I haven't read through the requirements for ABA in a while, but if I remember correctly, it is a much shorter and simpler process.  I remember thinking that we could actually approach the ABA, after the APA pre-qualifying meets are complete - possibly even after the first APA Qualifying meet, but that might be pushing our luck a bit.

Fortunately, we won't have to re-write the Standard, as it is already written and should be the same for bantams, in both APA and ABA, as it currently stands for LF.

I have all the entries of self-blue bantams, from ABC meets, going back to 2012 and who exhibited them.

When the Board gives the go-ahead on this project, I will forward that info to whoever is spearheading the project.

News and Information / Surgery is scheduled - Update
« on: March 27, 2019, 04:43:32 PM »
Update - Surgery is now firm, and scheduled 5/21.

I have just gotten back home from meeting with the otolaryngologist that will be 1/2 of the surgical team.  The other half, Dr. Vender, neurologist, I won't see until Friday.  The surgery is tentatively scheduled for April 30th and it will take 3-5 hours.  There will be a 5 day hospital stay following the surgery, and he never answered my question about recovery.  There are some check boxes that must be marked before the surgery, so that is why that date is, for now, tentative.

The good news, or at least I think it is good news, is that the brain, part of the temporal lobe, has herniated through the gap in the brain pan.  While that does make the surgery a riskier procedure, it also means that it could be the cause of these episodes, which in turn means, they could stop following the surgery. Time will tell.

Ok, it is all fixed now.  Just a formatting error on the report, from when I added the new fields for 2019.

And, yes, it does look like Athena has earned points for Junior Master Exhibitor!  Congratulations!

Thanks for updating. I'm a bit confused. Athena has 5 separate lines on the cumulative Open report. On the cumulative Junior she has points for bantams but we have not shown bantams yet. It looks like she made Junior Master Exhibitor?! She will be so excited!

Researching this...looks like there is a duplication of records on the second spring Utah meet report.

News and Information / Re: Poultry Place Ad for the club

Well, my apologies, I only remembered the Poultry Press 1/2 page ad for the National.  I will get that re-started for the next issue.

We also voted to restart the classified ad in the Poultry Press, and restart the articles!

That is not how I remember it, Paul.  Perhaps Gordon, or some of the others that were there, could speak up.

Poultry Press has not been, in the past, advantageous to us, for advertising.

Rosettes for those specifics were sent out this past Tuesday, with the exception as stated earlier, of the Junior awards from the fall show, as we did not receive that report in time for this shipment of rosettes.

If you would email me the specifics, I'll be glad to research it for
you next week, but it is 10:00pm here and I'm not working tomorrow.

I should add, this is not a "re-start" of any regular advertising schedule with Poultry Press, but a single half-page ad, featuring the winners from our 40th Anniversary National.

Yes, I remember it.  It is one of the things that got "left behind" in my short term memory lapse from the TIA at the Nationals.  The funds are in the bank, earmarked for the Poultry Press ad (I assume you mean Poultry Press, not Poultry Place).  I've already told Jean that I will create the half page ad next week, when I'm designing the ads for the ABA yearbook.

Sorry, I thought you had already automated the points too.  Thanks for checking.

No, updating the website for points is not automated...yet

Since rosettes were mentioned, will those be going out to those that earned them at Utah shows last year soon?

The rosettes for the Open show were sent out in this last shipment.  The Junior report was not received in time to include in this shipment, as that report and the letters had already been printed when we received your report.

Any rosettes won after this shipment will go out in the next shipment, which is scheduled for this fall.
