News and Information / Re: Meet Reports overdue

Susan, can you check Katherine's points tally for the FFF show, I don't see anything listed in the points listing for her in 2018?  Maybe I've missed something.

Are you looking at the report or at the points page on the website?  That has not been updated and probably won't be any time real soon.  If I have time, I'll update it next week, but if the points are reflected on the meet report, then they are in the database.

I will always post a comment in the forum when the points are updated, Don.

Actually, Don, I made a mis-statement.  That's what I get for not looking at my database before responding. <g>

The Forsyth Fowl Fanciers report has been processed and the exhibitor/members have all their points recorded.  In fact, I've already sent out the rosettes for those wins, where appropriate.

You can see the meet report here: 11-24-18 Forsyth Fowl Fanciers Winston Salem NC.pdf

It was completed, processed, and uploaded last month, Feb 27th, at 10:44AM:

Thank you, Don, I will mark those two as cancelled.

The FFF report, along with 3 others, is in my pending file and has not yet been processed.  I had planned on working on meet reports this weekend.

Hi everyone

I'm trying to track down meet reports from the attached list.  Some of these are over a year old and have not been received.

If you attended any of these shows and can help out with completing the meet report, please contact me at info@ameraucanabreedersclub.org.

Just as a side note, our meet policy requires that meet reports be received no later than 30 days after the show date.  We've not enforced this, but will have to start.  As of today, meet reports not received after 90 days from the show date will be not counted towards points or other awards.  We opened the meet reporting up to members a while back; so when you go to an ABC meet, be sure to take along a copy of the meet report and fill it out.

Just a quick reminder:  If the District Director is not at the show, then the person requesting the meet is next in line for completing the meet report!  We have quite a few Show Secretarys that have stated they do not/will not prepare breed club meet reports, so if you want those points - get those meet reports in!

And, the saga continues....

As some of you are aware, I had the brain CT scan, with contrast last Tues (3/12/19) at the Augusta University Hospital. This past Tues (3/19/19), I received the results from Dr. Seyyeddi, who is the otoneurologist that ordered the scan.

The CT scan does show another gap in the brain pan, with an active cerebrospinal fluid leak into the middle ear. My appt with Dr Seyyeddi, who ordered the brain scan, is next Wed (3/27/19) to "discuss my options". Of course, Barry and I already know the options - new surgery or no new surgery, and the second one isn't a viable option. With an active leak, there is a risk of infection traveling into the brain and into the spinal column; they have specifically stated meningitis as a risk.

So, now we know and we move forward. Whether this has any impact on my "episodes" or not remains to be seen.

ABA has extended the Deadline to May 15th!!  So, we've still got some time.

There are still a few spots open, so get those ads in!

I would need all ads in by 4/26, to get them mocked up, invoiced, and in to the ABA prior to my surgery.

Well, it's that time again...actually, almost past that time.  Sorry for the delay, but there has been a lot of other stuff going on...

In the past, the ABC has done a full page, b&w ad, with the top of the page dedicated to the ABC header and logo.

That means you, our ABC members, can advertise for less!

Here's the breakdown:
full page (below the header), b&w - 4.375" x 5.7" - $90
half page, b&w - 4.375" x 2.85" - $45
quarter page, b&w - 2.188" x 2.85" - $22.50
eight page, b&w - 2.188" x 1.425" - $11.25

You can see the respective ad sizes below. I'll be happy to help you lay out your ad, but don't wait! This has got to go to the ABA very quickly!

If I have time. I have a lot on my plate to get done before I leave office and the new Secretary/Treasurer takes office.

But, once points are added to the database, they are there until the Secretary/Treasurer removes them, so you don't need me to intervene.

It will be announced when it is ready for general use.  It is still in development now.

Let me also add that show reports should be turned in within 30 days of the meet.  I know life happens and other things become a priority, but we can't process meet reports, or send out rosettes, for meet reports we haven't received.

Thanks

I've now had other members contact me that have never received rosettes won, even for previous years. I think this is an important member benefit that should be fulfilled. Having members display those helps promote the club. I think it's especially important for juniors.

Michelle, there are certain restrictions on what wins will receive a rosette.  I've had people contact me about rosettes for wins that were not qualified for a rosette.

The order for this spring's shipment of rosettes has been placed with our vendor and paid for. I'm just waiting to receive them to ship them out.

Yes, that was voted on by the membership, as any change to our Constitution requires, in the 2016 election.

Primarily due to health issues, and some other things, I have tendered a 30 day notice of resignation to the Board of Directors this morning.

If you are computer literate and would be interested in this position, please contact your District Director or the President, Jean Ribbeck.

Thank you
