Title: Upside down egg
Post by: Sharon Yorks on December 16, 2012, 09:31:56 PM
I just finished candling some of my eggs and noticed that one is upside down. What I mean is, the air sack appears to be on the narrow end. It has been in an automatic turner, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. Do I turn it so that the air sack is at the top, leave it with the wider side up, or it doesn't matter because the egg will be laying flat on the last 3 days?

I had a couple like that one year, and one where the air sac was on the side. I put the air sac ends up, and I think at least one of them did hatch, but the one on the side didn't.

It needs to have the air sack up-on top-while it is in the turner.
