Hannah LA 200 is a really good general antibiotic and Tylenol is a very good respiratory antibiotic. They are both injectables and very effective.

I don't think there is a good antibody for the cold. I am working on vaccines  for random poultry viruses. We will keep in touch.

Sounds like CRD.  Caused by MG.  Watch their eyes.  Makes sure they don't get goey and close shut.  Watch for a white solid mass to form and make sure you get it out of their eyes.  Put bleach in the water to keep it from spreading.  Recommend not breeding them.  Breed for resistance.  I stopped medicating because I got tired of treating sick birds all the time.  Started culling sick birds and only breeding ones that never showed signs.  Between that and not trying to raise chicks thru the winter, I rarely get a bird with CRD now.

God Bless,

Royce - Could you provide more information about CRD.  Over the years I've had 2 or 3 pullets who became lethargic at about the same time their eyes would start to close shut.  I practice your treatment method at the very first sign.  No sense endangering all the other birds.

Here ya go Duane:  http://www.merckmanuals.com/vet/poultry/mycoplasmosis/mycoplasma_gallisepticum_infection_in_poultry.html

You can Google for more.  Also, CRD = Chronic Respiratory Disease.  It's also sometimes called Infectious Sinusitis.  Sounds like a fancy name for a sinus infection, doesn't it?   ;D

Connor...Are you working on "creating" a vaccines or trying to experiment with which ones to use for different poultry viruses? Please explain.
