As a general note, our members may notice the cost to advertise with the ABC in the ABA yearbook via a color advertisement page has increased due to the ABA raising the cost of their color advertisement page. Thanks.

Housing, Health & Hatching / Re: Incubator recommendation
« on: January 31, 2023, 10:29:03 AM »
I really enjoy the Brinsea line of incubators. They can be a bit pricey but work really well.

My favorite incubator is my GQF Sportsman. I watched Craigslist for several months and was able to purchase a gently used one in great condition for much less than the cost of buying one new.

Good luck during your search.

I just looked at the report again and I was referring to the junior show. My bad. Tell her grandpa if he gives the judge a hard time when it happens Julie may be able to earn her way to junior grand master exhibitor faster. ;)

No worries. It’s up to the judges to know which varieties are approved by the Associations. I try to be of help if I catch it. A judge selected one of my LF splash pullets for RB at our SE district meet, so I caught up with him and asked him if he could swing by to select an accepted variety.

Past Meets / 1-7-2023 Bluebonnet Classic Navasota, TX

This meet report has been entered and uploaded to the website:

http://ameraucanabreedersclub.org/meet_reports/1-7-2023%20Bluebonnet%20Classic%20Navasota,%20TX.pdf

Keep in mind that bantam self blue is not accepted by the APA yet, so for this particular show the judge should have selected an additional bird in an accepted variety for BB. Also, as a general note for members that review our meet reports, in open the judge did not elect to select a RB in bantam for some reason so I just reflected the one that was judged.
