I just spoke with Rhonda Simmons who is the show producer for this month's Canfield, Ohio show and she said that her show has been cancelled and that she had been on a recent conference call with the state who is now saying that all poultry related shows, swap meets, auctions, and fairs have been cancelled until January of 2016. She went on to say that there hasn't been any reported cases (to her knowledge) but that these cancellations are being done as a precaution and preventative measure.

Ok, I will update the Meet Schedule on the website. Thanks for following up on this, Sharon!

Nebraska has followed suit. As of today all shows, auctions, swap meets involving poultry thru at least Jan 1, 2016 are banned. Henceforth the 2015 Nebraska State Poultry Show scheduled for Oct 31 - Nov 1 is now history. Looks like a short exhibition season this year!

I hope our National survives this. I've been waiting three years to attend one close to me and wouldn't you know it, Murphy's law looks like it could strike. :P
I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous about it though. So many turkey and waterfowl at that show.

We're contemplating a back up situation. It would be in the same district though. :)
