The American Poultry Association is running a holiday special right now. If you are not currently a member but have considered joining, now would be a good time to do so. A one year membership and a copy of the APA Standard of Perfection book is $45. That’s a great price. I paid around $40 just for the book. Being a member of the APA is one of the requirements for participating in the qualifying meets to get the self blue color variety approved.

Thanks Lindsay. It sounds like a Great deal even if it includes the older 2010 edition of the Standard of Perfection. I would love to see them discount the newest version given it's hefty price, but I expect that's going to take a while.

The ABA is also giving a holiday special. I got the ABA SOP, in both the hardcover and the mini version, and a t-shirt, with one year's membership for $35.

That’s a great deal! My ABA books came in the mail yesterday. I ordered a few days too soon and missed out on the T-shirt deal, but I received the ABA SOP and the mini version for that price.
