Title: Finally! The Egg Color Wheel Revealed
Post by: Susan Mouw on July 16, 2016, 08:39:23 PM
After much deliberation, consideration, and more than one "do-over", the Board has arrived at a decision for the new egg color wheel.  A totally new concept in egg color cards, this is 6" x 6" card, with the "spokes" of the wheel showing each color, so you have a full length representation of color, instead of just a small color chip at the edge of the card.

These will be ordered from the printers on Monday and will be available in the store by the end of the week.  The Board is still determining the price structure, so that will be announced later.  These are more expensive than the earlier cards, both because of the depth of color and the size, but we're trying to keep them priced very similarly to the old cards.

The image below has been grayed out, so doesn't show the true colors.

Thank you Susan and the ABC Board members for all the hard work on the new egg color cards. I know it wasn't a hasty decision and a lot of evaluation and tweaks went into what is now the final result. It really looks impressive and I can't wait until I get some. Just another example of the ABC moving forward for the betterment of the breed and our members.

The Board has agreed on a price structure for the new Egg Color Wheel.  We wanted to stay very close to the prices for the old egg cards, yet cover the higher costs of these new egg color wheels.

The previous cards were priced at $3/ea or 2 for $5, with shipping in the US included, but extra for outside of the US.

The new Egg Color Wheel is also $3/ea or 2 for $5, but postage is extra for all destinations.  Postage is set at a flat rate for parcel post, so it is $1.35 for US, $2.75 for Can, and $4.00 for all other destinations.

The new cards have been shipped from the printers and should be arriving any day.  The new store will have them listed and should be open by this weekend. :)
