Went to the post office tonight to pickup the Ameraucana
chicks from Mckinney.
Nice assortment, looks like got some of the black, white, buff, blue.
I ordered 10 more of the Buff. All were drinking and eating
when I left them....they all appeared in good shape.
These are large fowl.
At what age can the large fowl be shown, I was hoping for the
show in November.
Probably still too young, they would only be 4 months going on
5 months of age. Have a show in December..and hopefully
January.
They are round shaped chicks, that\'s how they appear to me.
Cute!

You could have a pullet mature early but the cockerels won\'t be ready. If you look at my post about the silvers you can see my 5 month and 4 month olds. We have two 5 month old pulllets though that look great. Good luck and let us all know how they mature out.

Philip,
Congratulations. Please keep us informed as to how they progress. I was think of getting some of their birds as well. If you are that satisfied I may go ahead and order some. Jeff

I ordered 35 chicks, so I\'m sure to have something in there to
show, I\'m interested in the Buff\'s. They have like I said only
the large fowl, and in the 4 varieties.
I will keep updating, and if get a chance a photo now and then.
If you are going to order, better hurry hatching is coming to
a quick end...and I next year they will not have chicks available, from what is posted on the site.
Good Luck...
