Title: Judges for the Dixie Classic

Jeff Halbach - WI
Terry Britt - IL
Brian Knox - NH
Tim Clanton - AL
Anthony Ashley - SC
Donald Barger - CA
Dan Castle - CT

We are able to choose a judge for the national meet. 
Anyone have preferences/ thoughts of these listed?

Terry Britt and Jeff Halbach have both done a great job judging at shows I have attended

Did we pick a judge for the national show or are we going to see who we get assigned?

Thanks for those that offered their experiences and preferences by phone and messages. It is amazing how regional the preferences seem to be known.  And the preferences we're quite varied. 
Dan Castle was the choice agreed with the host club..

Thanks for following up. I don’t think I have ever shown under Dan, but I have heard good things about him. See you in three weeks!

A short bio for Mr Castle;

Dan Castle is an APA general licensed judge, Master Breeder and Master Exhibitor. He started raising poultry as a junior exhibitor and has been raising birds now for 27 years. After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Animal Science and Landscape Architecture, he became even more serious about breeding. He is best known in our hobby for raising Black Australorp Standards. He also raises Buff Brahma bantams and Silver Spangled Hamburg Standards. Dan and his birds have been very successful in the show circuit. His recent accomplishments include Champion Standard bird at the recent APA National in Ohio, Super Grand Champion of the Northeastern Poultry Congress in January 2019 and Reserve Champion Standard at the 2018 Ohio National.
