Title: Lavender Ameraucana

John Blehm,
Perhaps in the future when things are slow could you possibly write an article in the Ameraucana Breeders Club Newsletter about the Lavender Ameraucana Bantam and Large Fowl?
You had the forsight to know this color would be popular and have been the inspiration of many breeders to take on this color not only in the Ameraucanas but it appears there is a lot of interest in this color in other breeds in bantam and large fowl after you had success with the bantams and now the large fowl.   Harry

Harry,
Thanks for the idea.  Generally I don\'t know what to write, but know as a club officer it is expected that I write something for each Bulletin.
You\'re right about lavender Ameraucanas being very popular and, yes, I\'ve heard that breeders of other breeds are now trying to develop lavender varieties also.

John,

I found out this morning that the British Araucana breeders have a new lavender they are working on called the barred lavender.
