This is to explain why I may not be active here for a week or so.   I lost, for a time,  the man I admired the most tonight, my Dad.  He slipped away peacefully into eternity about 7 p.m.,   and is with the Lord.   I will be spending my spare time with funeral arrangements, incoming relatives, and handling the details of his remaining estate.     Thanks for your prayers.

Mike, my Brother, I know no words I can say can do anything.  I will pray for you.  Thanks be to God that you will see your Dad again and may the Holy Spirit bring you and all yours total peace and comfort during this time.

I\'m glad you know that he\'s in a much better place now, although it\'s still hard to accept such a loss in ones life.  I\'m so sorry.

Thanks to all of you for your kind expressions of sympathy and for your prayers.    Dad was 88, and became a believer in the last year of his life, so his parting was very special.     The visitation and funeral were both very well attended.    We had sunshine - in spite of a forecast that called for 4 to 6 inches of snow.   God is gracious.   Thanks again to all of you.
