What is the rarest variety of true Ameraucanas? Just curious what you think.
Thanks.

In my opinion that would be quality brown red large fowl.

brown red large fowl
Maybe not \"quality\", but I have a quad of breeders for sale and I need the pen space for started chicks. Email me if you have an interest.

I would agree! With bantam buff and silver closely behind.

the rarest variety
I don\'t see or hear much about bantam whites anymore.
Bantam buff, silver and brown red are on the list.

Bantam whites are raised and shown by Bob Walchak, Jerry DeSmidt, and Al Nichols. Bob and I have bantam brown reds. I sent the last of my bantam silvers to Johnny Parks last year. I\'m sure there must be a few others out there with them. I\'m not sure how up-to-date the Breeders Directory is?

The breeders directpry is as accurate as the information I have from members. I feel pretty confident. Most folks updated their information last year.
I still have white bantams, but haven\'t shown them in awhile.

How about the brown reds Michael? Do you still have them as well? I guess I\'m asking about both bantam and large fowl.
I know mine are getting a tad inbred, so I spoke with Bob Walchak about getting bird from him for next season. It really pays to network. By the way, I did get about 15 bantam buffs hatched, and have some eggs under hens yet.

bantam buffs hatched
I finally got two to hatch last Sunday!!
I\'ve got a nice looking trio of bantam brown reds and they are finally starting to lay on a regular basis, now that the hatching season is about over.
