We sent ours in- plan to take 6 junior and 6 open ameraucana bantams and a few call ducks.
What is everyone else taking? Just wondering how many ameraucanas we will have at the show.... How many do we usually have at a national?

Some year I will do this one! Good luck to all who are going.
-
Usually there are close to 200 Ameraucana at a National Meet including the juniors.

Just for future reference, is there a provision for showing shipped birds?
Would a person ship them both ways, or plan to show and sell the birds there? Is it too much trouble for the show committee or whomever to sell birds?
It might be a good way to get the number of exhibitors up for new varieties.
-
I would think that shipping them in to show and then they could be included in the silent auction might also be an option that one might consider.
I know that this show does not accept shipped birds, so the birds would have to be shipped to someone local who would be willing to coop them in and care for them during the show. This show usually has 4,000 birds entered making it one of the largest shows here in the states.

I just wanted to find out if there was a banquet after the show?
I don\'t see any mention of one on the entry form, I suddenly became aware of this today because I didn\'t have any entries and was making sure that I could be included.
-
Jean,
I am not aware of a banquet. Usually breed clubs just make plans to have dinner together at a restaurant.

There will be information at the club table regarding a meal time and place for the Ameraucana Breeders Club. We normally try to hit a place that can take a large group, is reasonably priced, and has a wide range of food offerings.

The Ohio group sometimes has a get together at the show on Saturday night also, I don\'t know if that is every year. I remember one year on Saturday night directing none other than Martha Stewart to the Ameraucana aisle. She was accompanied by a gentleman who I assumed to be her husband.

wide range of food offerings
I\'m ready!

Do we have enough people to get our Club Table set up? I can help if we need it, I have no birds to care for.
