Title: hatching eggs
Post by: cedarpondfarm on February 17, 2010, 03:32:07 PM

I\'ve been donating most of my eggs to the food bank at the Methodist church.  They are refrigerated at 36 degrees for 24 to 72 hours before I take them over.  Is it possible for them to hatch?

It is usually less than 36 degrees inside my coop when I gather eggs, and I get about half of them to hatch.   Give it a go and see what happens.

I was asked if these \"donated\" eggs would hatch.  I said I didn\'t think so - they had been too cold for too long and had not been turned.  But sounds like I\'m 50% wrong . . . . . or 50% right
