Title: Blue Wheaten/ Wheaten hatching eggs

I have a Wheaten rooster in with 5 blue wheaten hens. Fertility has been 100% so far this spring. I\'ve been working on them for 2 years so they are looking good this year.

Eggs to ship Monday, March 22. I have 13 as of today from friday, and will include what is laid tomorrow. $35 includes priority shipping. Please emaIl me privately if interested.

I took a few pictures, but I have a new computer and no photo program yet that I can make the photos small enough to post here. I did put them on my Rare  Chicken blog, at: http://rarechickens.blogspot.com/
They are under the Marans photos, just scroll down.

These are some things I have been asked about:
The roos breast is solid black,no red.
They all have red earlobes.
Roo has a perfect pea comb.

The roo, at 10 months of age, still has some white in beard.

It was raining and things are muddy, so their faces are covered in mud in the pictures.

I have 20 eggs in my incubator, so although I won\'t probably post about eggs here again, I will have them available throughout the laying season and do take pre-orders for day old chicks.

Sue, he looks like a nice bird.   I would only fault him for being a little too dark in the wing bows, and lacking enough color in the wing bay.   I like your females too, especially the wheaten hen under the truck.  Good tail color for a large fowl.

I\'m quite sure the wings are clipped, so he may be better than he appears.

That may be, didn\'t think of that.   In general, large fowl wheaten breeders need to think about breeding their males more of an even orange color than the deep red and variable shades.    The ideal coloring is most perfected in the O.E. Game bantam wheaten males.

Yes, his right wing is clipped. I found him on the roof of the barn last week, so I clipped the feathers on that side.

I didn\'t even think of that when I took  the photo.

Getting better color in the hens was one of my goals.

I\'m pretty new to Ameraucanas, so I appreciate the comments.

I\'m guessing that getting the color right is the hardest part of the blue wheatens.

I could use up to 36 bantam wheaten/blue wheaten hatching eggs to be mailed to me this Saturday so I get them on Monday, May 10th.  If you can help please email with the cost?
