I have two (possibly three, haven\'t decided for sure yet) pairs of bantam lavenders from John\'s stock for sale.  Hatched 6/28/10, all from very blue eggs.

I don\'t need a pair, but I could use a new cockerel.  I had all females hatch this year.

OK, I really need a roo or cockerel by January at the Stockton show.  I have a buyer for a breeding group of bantam lavenders and I have NO boys.  This is a chicken addict who shows more often than I do.  We NEED to get this guy a start in Ameraucanas.  My lavs are decent in type - certainly good for a start.  I think this guy will do a great job.  Get me a male (or two) and I will buy him a year\'s membership with his birds.

Lyne I have extra cockerals. If you can\'t find any closer to you.I have a box or boxes to use at no charge. The extras have color leakage.$10.00 each.I am sure they would like Ca. weather as we are having lows around zero.  Jerry           in central Il.

How bad a fault is color leakage?  Is it easy to tell if my hens have it?  I don\'t want to start the guy off with an impossible task.

It is hard to tell on the females. It will show up in the neck and upper breast [ birchen pattern].I have some splits that can pass for birchen. The roo I used came straight from John.It is just something we have to work on.I will use a split roo this year that does not show any other color in neck/saddle.Should produce some that have no leakage and I can continue with these.A lav roo with very little leakage is easily missed but it sure stands out on black.  Jerry

OK.  I didn\'t get any splits with colored necks, so I should be good.  Please email me with details about how you want to be paid. lyne@bryngyld.com  I\'ll take both boys.  Thanks!!!

You know what?  I may have a leaky hen.  I thought she was from the blue gold pen, but perhaps she is a very leaky lavender.  I can see very light gold lacing on her neck - definitely birchen - maybe dilute.  I better take her out of the blue gold pen where I put her and toss her back into the lavenders... or the yard pets!  She does have awesome type...

Here I was thinking maybe I was finally getting some straw colored necks (just lighter in the blues).
