I\'m pretty sure this has been covered before but I can\'t for the life of me find it. I haven\'t shipped before but I\'m probably going to need to this year, and I need to order some boxes (http://poultry2.tripod.com/id3.html). Both the single stall and the economy nest have the same weight limit (10#) but the economy nest is 3X the price. I doubt I could ship more than 2 birds in either box w/o being over the 10# weight limit, and even using 2 single stalls would still appear to be cheaper than the divided nests. Is there any advantage to using the multi-stall nests?

I don\'t think so. I buy the singles and tape two together many times. You can get a roll of Express Mail tape at the post office for free.
I put one LF bird in each and with bantams I put generally send trios with the two hens sharing a box.

I generally use the single stall and tape together like John suggested. The economy box is much roomier and would provide better air circulation if shipping in this heat.
The buyer pays for my boxes, so the cost goes to them.
