Title: Looking for a LF Silver Cockerel or Cock

I am looking for a large fowl silver cockerel or cock and am located in Central Virginia. I ordered some chicks from John this spring and as luck would have it, they are all pullets! So, a big thank you for that happy statistical phenomenon! I do have a black cockerel, but in reading posts on silver breeding, the consensus seems to be that the silver split works better when starting with a silver cock over black hens rather than the other way around. Even though the silver genetics sound like they will be a challenge to work with, I think the silver color is beautiful. For whatever reason, they seem livelier and more personable than the others I have, too.

I gal emailed a couple days ago and said out of the 15 LF buff chicks she got from me this year only one is a pullet.  I guess things average out in the end.
