Title: PPBA Show, Stevenson WA
Post by: Jean on April 22, 2012, 07:06:29 PM
Hi everyone, I just returned from a show in Stevenson.  My little bantam black cockerel won Champion AOCCL.  Didn\'t go any further since all the Canadians come down and win all the awards.....    lol

He was Reserve AOCCL last month at a show in Monroe, WA.

Mike, this is the little guy that wasn\'t judged at Indy because he didn\'t like Connor for some reason.

I didn\'t see very much of Jeanine and do not know if she entered anything.  She had a faverolles meet.

Congrats Jean!    There were some very nice bantams at Indy that didn\'t do well in the judging that day for one reason or another.   Got a photo?

Not bad at all.   Good length to his body, neat comb, decent tail.   Would like to see a little higher wing carriage, but that could be just the way he happened to be standing.    Do you know where this strain originated?

Just for clarification, it was the PNPA show, not the PPBA show. ;)

I only ended up entering a black bantam cock in the open show, and my son entered a hen in the youth show, both received 1st, but not higher.  Nobody else was in any kind of condition to go.  I also needed to focus on preparing Favs to go, since it was our Western National. :)

He\'s out of trio I bought in fall 2010.  I got a pullet from you  and a pair from Patty P, I think she said they were from John.

He tends to hold his wings down a bit more when someone approaches him.  It is the main thing I want to correct in the male line; held against the body nice and tight.
