Title: Black Bantam Ameraucana's
Post by: philipu on August 22, 2012, 06:49:43 PM
Does anyone have anything available in the black bantams, I have a black bantam cockerel from Jean R, but
nothing to go with him, he is just about 4 months old.
Thank You, phil

I don't know if she has anything right now, but you may want to contact Jeanine McKee to find out. Her contact info is in the breeder's directory. I think she lives in Oregon.

I think Jerry De Smidt still has black bantams.
I haven't sorted thru my lavender bantams lately, but should have a couple extra pullets if you want to cross them with your male.  You could breed a line of blacks with some birds carrying recessive lavender, if that doesn't bother you.

Thanks John,

I've emailed you.  I would have no problem with the lavender pullets.
I thank you.  phil

Thanks,  I live here in Idaho, and I don't really like to try to raise chicks or  young birds with the
bad weather coming on. It would throw a hatch into October, and then the weather flux's so much
cold at night and can get hot during the weather, extremes.
I do appreciate your response NoseyChickens.
