Title: 2014 ABC Handbook

The club is out of 2005 ABC Handbooks.  I am going to put together a new 2014 version and need your help.  If you have an article that you would like to submit for consideration please email it to me.  Also, to help keep the cost down we will accept poultry related ads, as in the past.  You don't have to design the ad, just supply the information you want in it along with any artwork and of course payment.
1/4 page, black and white = $50, color = $70
1/2 page, black and white = $90, color = $110
Full page, black and white = $160, color = $180

Use this topic to discuss your ideas about what you would like to see it the new Handbook.

How soon did you plan to get this into print and what is the deadline to get you material?

Lets say the deadline is the end of November...then I will put it all together and print when time permits.

The Ameraucana Breeders Club is out of 2005 ABC Handbooks.  These are giving to new members and sold to fanciers on our website.  I am going to put together a new 2014 version.   We’ll print about 300 and these should last several years.  This is the 4th edition of our ABC Handbook over the past 30+ years.  We will accept poultry related ads, as in the past.  You don't have to design the ad, just supply the information you want in it along with any artwork and of course payment.  Each advertiser will receive a copy of the new ABC Handbook and the ad deadline with payment is December 15th.

1/4 page – 2.25” wide by 3.875” high, black and white = $50, color = $70
1/2 page – 4.5” wide by 3.875” high, black and white = $90, color = $110
Full page - 4.5” wide by 7.75” high, black and white = $160, color = $180

John just for an idea, if you need some. You could use a few sites that carry shipping boxes to help some of the new members get started. It is just an idea if you need some. I use boxes for birds and I have them ship the box to the person that I am buying from. They sell pigeon boxes so you have to be careful what size you get. Just a thought to put out there.    I think I am off track here. I guess people are paying to advertise articles.

The last time I bought them I bought a carton of 30.  The price comes down a lot with larger quantities and shipping is included.  I bought the "Lite" Single boxes.  The work for my needs and I have enough to last for years!  I've emailed the company to invite them to place an ad in the Handbook.  Thanks for the idea.  Here is a link to the site.

John,

I read through my new handbook last night and wanted to say thanks for doing such a great job! There are a lot of great articles and information provided by the veterans of the breed. So much so that I will be re-evaluating my breeders to help ensure I am breeding from only the best I have, even if it means hatching fewer chicks. The more I read and re-read, the more I learn. So, thanks to everyone who contributed to the new handbook.   :)
