A few weeks ago I built an 8' long, 6 section, coop to house extra cocks. Generally twice a week a one cock will be moved from the breeding pen to one of these small coops, while the other takes his turn with the hens.
This was a fairly simple design, with partitions extended between the coops to avoid fighting. The "warm" LED lights are on for 16 hours/day for all the breeders...hens & cocks.

It looks like the front's fold down for access? Looks like a convenient setup. My extra roosters run together in the pole barn deer pen in the winter, but I'll either have to get rid of a bunch of them or do something similar this spring, as I'll need the space for growing out my new large fowl crop.

John what are u using for latches on top? This is very creative, looks like u move the 2x on the bottom and top so there were no waste so they can't see each other were the extensions are .
