Hi All!
I just wanted to find out what the rest of the US is paying for feed. The cost of a 80 lb bag of regular layer feed is about $18.00 here in Spokane.
Are we all paying this much, or do I need to start looking elsewhere?
Thanks,
Jean

80 lb bag
Are you sure it\'s 80/bag? Normally feed comes in 50# bags.
I just had a ton (40 bags) of Pen Pal pullet starter/grower delivered today. The invoice will come in the mail, but according to the salesman it will work out to under $10 per 50 lb. bag with my discount for paying within 15 days, state sales tax and a special discount they are offering for chick starter until the end of May.
Purina Turkey starter was $13.60/bag a couple weeks ago. I buy that at a local dealer sometimes. It is a great high protein starter for my chicks.
All the birds will get starter/grower and I\'ll switch to game bird breeder pellets once the chicks are mature.

We are paying anywhere from 9.50-12.50 for a 50# bag of feed, depending on the brand of course.

I\'m paying $8.35 for a 50# sack of 16% laying pellets and $9.70 for 50# of chick starter.

Here in Central New York, I buy from the local feed mill and they mix up a feed of 17% for $7.40 per 50lbs. I have to buy 500 lbs minimum per order.

Jean,
I live near you in Rathdrum and recently paid $13.96 for 50# of chick starter in Hayden at Half Moon Feeds.

I think it\'s between 8.50 - 9.50 depending on the brand here in south Texas. That\'s for 50#. Are you sure it\'s an 80# bag??

The local Aslin Finch carries 80 lb bags. The 50 lb bags are running right around $11.00.
