Here are the results of a breeding experiment that I did.
As you can see, It doesn’t take long to get back to the Easter Egger Roots of this breed.
This blue male came from crossing a white male over a black female.
He has quite a bit of white in his hackle so I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if I put him over a couple of silver hens.
Well, here are some of the chicks from this mating. There were also some pretty nice blue chicks. I wish that I had taken pictures of the newly hatched chicks. They were very pretty light gray silver striped chicks.
