Title: darker, bluer eggs

I am looking for the darkest bluest eggs that are available. I want to buy a few eggs or chicks. I don\'t care about show quality, as they will be pets and not shown, but I want the best egg color I can find. Who\'s selecting for darker eggs that I can buy from, now or in the spring?

ETA: I realize even the darkest eggs are pale, I\'d just like the best I can get!

Barbara Campbell at Blue Egg Acres in TN has some LF Wheatens & Blue Wheatens that lay very nice blue eggs. Maybe you could get some from her. I have a cockerel & pullet from her that I\'ll be breeding in spring but that\'s a long time for you to wait. The pullet is laying a nice blue-green, & the cockerel came from a pretty blue egg with quite deep color. Hopefully Barbara or someone else can help you sooner than I could.
