I am willing to serve as SE District Director for a 2nd 2 year term.
-
Great!
Since this is the official club forum and Michael and I check it out nominations placed here will be accepted.
I would like to nominate Mike Gilbert for President and Michael Muenks for Secretary/Treasurer.
-
John,
I will have to think about that. Just tonight I was elected to two positions on my church council that will require much of my \"off duty\" time, and my retirement date has been pushed back until next March 31st. So I\'m not sure that I can do the job justice right now, but will think about it. I do hope Michael will agree to continue, as he has done an excellent job for the club and our members.

I will run for district director again

I am willing to serve as SC District Director again.

I am willing to serve as secretary again.

Michael,
As Tony from Battle Creek used to say...That\'s GRRRR...EAT!
-
Bump! Any other members interested in serving the club as an officer or as a district director?
Michael

What are the responsibilities or duties of the district directors?
Jean :)
-
responsibilities or duties of the district directors?
They are outlined in the Constitution and By-laws that are in the Handbook.
By the way I would like to nominate Jean Ribbeck for Western district director and Patty Pickard for NE district director.
-
Does it pay well? :p LOL
I really don\'t know if I am up to it yet. Let me think on it for a day or so.......

As they say now-a-days...too funny!

Article III - District Directors
The District Directors shall be responsible for actively promoting the club and its\' activities, including the placing of annual District, State, and Special meets within their individual districts. They shall also represent the club and assist in planning and carrying out details for the National meet when held within their district. Each District Director shall serve as an officer on the Board of Directors, have a vote in determining club policy, assist with coordinating club meets within their district, and take an active part in the recruitment of new members.

State, and Special meets
FYI, I plan to propose a change to have all State and Special meets placed by the Secretary, still at the request of members. From my experience it will be less hassle. The board will vote to decide whether or not my proposal will be on the ballot for the membership to vote on.

Come on Jean you know you want to do it (((((big smiles)))))

I will accept the nomination.
How long is the term?
What about the pension, insurance, perks, company car and most importantly the gas card?????
Jean
-
2 years

Jean,
Please refer to the fine print in the Handbook. You\'ll find that club directors get what is referred to as \"diddly squat\" while vast amounts of revenue is funneled into a \"slush\" fund for the president. Generally there is enough money in this fund to buy the president one Slush Puppy per year at the annual meeting.

I\'m delighted to see someone else interested in running for the western district. I think I\'d enjoy retiring on my big pension.
Seriously, it would be nice to have someone else take the reins. We have an awful lot on our plate right now.
Regards,
Lisa Cree
western district director

Lisa, your time and work on behalf of the ABC is certainly appreciated. Let us know if you are interested in running again, but if not please know that we are grateful for your service. Having put in a lot of time and $$ for the breed and the ABC, it is sure rewarding to be able to sit back and know that ones labor has not been in vain, because capable people care enough to continue the program. At least in my case, the work is being done far better now than when I was more directly involved.
-
I nominate Harold Knapp, from NY state, for NE District Director.
John,
I will accept the nomination for N.E. district director, with the understanding that I have cut back on the number of shows I attend due to gas & motel prices.
That said, I would do my best for the club.
Harold E. Knapp

Thank you so much Mike
That means a great deal to me coming from you.
It\'s a lovely breed and a great club. We should all be grateful of your work developing both!
Warmest regards,
Lisa
