Title: Earlobe questions
Post by: Guest on July 29, 2008, 10:25:34 PM
At what point should I know if my birds earlobes are red?  They all look whiteish to me.
Here is a picture of one of my cockerels, aprox. 4 months old.
It\'s not the best picture because I took it while holding the bird.

He will need to be nearly mature to see good red. Skin color or pink is generally heading in the right direction as a bird matures. You are trying to avoid enamel white as in a leghorn or rosecomb.

Michael thank you, i\'ll keep watching them.  I was worried that there was something wrong with all of them.  :)
