For those who may not know, John Blehm had another heart procedure done today.   From all reports it went well; he is resting comfortably and may go home tomorrow - Tuesday.
I just spoke with John on the phone, and he sounded good.
Pray for a full and speedy recovery.

I\'m Home! :D
FYI, it was a catheter oblation and cardioversion to destroy the tissue in the heart causing abnormal beats and then stop the heart and shock it to get it going again hopefully in sinus rhythm...or something like that.
It all went well and the doc will check it in a few months to see if I can get off some of the meds.
Thanks,

I must have been heard, I prayed I wouldn\'t have to take over your position so soon....  ;)

On a serious note, I \'m glad you are on your way to a speedy recovery.

Were you awake when they did this?  I knew someone that had to have her heart stopped and restarted a few years ago because of an allergic reaction to medication and she was awake while they did it.

Were you awake

No.  I was scheduled for a stop/restart (cardioversion) a few months ago, but my heart went back to sinus rhythm on it\'s own just before the procedure.  This one did leave a bit of a burn on my chest.  The ablation was the bigger deal.  They had 5 \"wires\" in the heart from veins in both groins and my wrist (I think).  I also had a catheter ablation about 12 years ago on the lower chamber and was awake thru that one.  I\'ve had a regular heart cath before and that is quiet different.  It checks the plumbing and most of my problems seem to be electrical.
I may have been able to schedule the procedure a bit sooner, but wanted it done after the national so that worked out.

I probably would have went into an abnormal rhythm just waiting for the procedure....

Is your son feeding the birds while you heal???

Our 15 year old, David, feeds and waters the birds daily throughout the year.  When we\'re gone to a show for a weekend our 34 year old son, John, does the chores or the five grand kids help out.  I\'ve got all the bases covered and I don\'t even play baseball.
