Hi Jerry,
When is the show and how long will you be out there?   I have heard about this show but never have a chance to attend.
Good luck with showing your cattle and poultry!

The show is Jan 7th and 8th with release on the 8th. I will be out there for the hereford show working for someone and thought I would take some birds. The Herefords begin arriving on sunday so the poultry show will be done and then I will be there for 1 week working for Topp Herefords.

Just in case anybody missed it, Jerry had top Ameraucana large fowl at the national meet at Sedalia, MO, this year on a black hen.  She also went Reserve Large Fowl of the entire show!    He also had the top two white large fowl, the top buff, and the reserve large fowl trio on young whites.   Congratulations and good work!

Hi all, I never noticed this forum before..I am guessing its fairly new?
I live in Colorado and saw this post. The stock show usually has a great show, and the sale area is usually good as well. I sold birds last year and showed as well. As a matter of fact, I showed white standard ameraucanas last year. One of my hens got Reserve AOSB. Tough competition though around here, we have a fabulous cochin breeder in Colorado that usually wins top prizes.
I am not attending the show this year though. Last year it was on a Tuesday and was a absolute nightmare to get to the show area. They only give you an hour to get all your birds unloaded before you have to move your car, and you have to park like a mile from the fairgrounds like everyone else. Totally not enough time, especially if you are selling birds too. The sale area is on the third floor of the building ...another nightmare. Good luck on the show this weekend!

I just got back from the National Western Stock Show and had a great time the folks out there were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of very nice birds and the competition was good. We had 11 birds on Champion Row, had Champ. AOSB with a Black Cockerl and Champ. AOCCL with a Black hen.

Nice work Jerry.    You represent the club very well.
Was there any interest in the Ameraucanas?   What were your other winners?

Jerry, congrats on the wins.

Are you, or is anyone here on the board going to be coming here to Pueblo to the Semi-annual in May?
The reason I ask, because I had a man call me from down that way interested in my Dutch bantams. But, he also asked if I had any bantam Ameraucanas. I do not, only have the large fowl and he wants bantams. I could give anyone his phone number, he doesnt have a computer and you could call him about Ameraucanas. Also reason I mentioned the semi-annual is that he will be going to it to pick up some Dutch, and thought maybe he would like to get ameraucanas there too.
